AmirSalar Davoudi: Steadfast and Brave in the Defense of Human Rights

Amir Salar Davoud was born in 1981
He is a lawyer and human rights defender. 
He has represented many political prisoners and prisoners of conscience
In 2018, Davoudi was arrested in his law office and was kept in solitary confinement for 190 days
In 2019, a Revolutionary Court sentenced him to 30 years of prison and 111 lashes
The charges against him included:
Forming a group for the overthrow of the regime, insulting officials,
propaganda against the regime,
communicating with hostile foreign powers by way of interviews
The charge of “forming a group for the overthrow of the regime” pertained to his administration of the Telegram Channel “Bedoon-e Rootoosh (‘Without Touchup’).” It carried 15 years of prison
On June 13, 2021, after spending around two years and seven months in prison, Davoudi was temporarily released from Rajaishahr Prison on a 2 billion-toman bail
On June 26, 2022, Davoudi was returned to prison to continue serving his sentence
July 9, 2022, from Evin Prison: “We say ‘no’ to you, even to the verge of death.”
